Moordener Kill : ウィキペディア英語版 | Moordener Kill
The Moordener Kill is a 〔U.S. Geological Survey. National Hydrography Dataset high-resolution flowline data. (The National Map ), accessed October 3, 2011〕 tributary to the Hudson River that flows through southwestern Rensselaer County, New York, in the United States. ''Moordener Kill'' translates to "Murderer Creek", with ''moordener'' being the Dutch word for "murderer" and ''kill'' for "creek". The name comes from the fact that the creek was the site of an ambush of Dutch settlers by Native Americans in 1643 in which 7 men and 2 women were killed. ==See also==
